SFI Technical Manager, Mike Hurst, asked the important question, “Why is it important to wear flame resistant (FR) undergarments beneath a racesuit?” To answer this question, Mike went to the SFI Test Lab with various samples to compare wearing FR and non-FR underclothing fabrics under a racesuit when exposed to fire and heat.
